AB6295 (CAT5 RS-232 Extender)

This CAT5 RS-232 extender carries signals through standard FTP (shielded 4 x twisted pair) cables up to a distance of 1000 metres. The AB6295 supports full-duplex forwards bi-directional RS-232 signals with all handshake signals to control remote equipment.
The AB6295 consists of 2 units: a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter has a RS-232 cable attached to the unit. At the receiver, the serial device is connected to the unit.
Applications:
* serial data transfer over long distances
* controlling routers, firewalls, terminals
* operate touch screens with the PC safely locked away.
